Failure Comes at a Cost...
Sensing the arrival of the two Knights Yggdrasil allowed a small portion of his tree-like façade to fade, if only for a moment, to permit the two Knights entry. Within the web-like innards of the tree the white mass hovered. Slowly Yggdrasil lowered himself to meet the Knights. Following him steadily were several large crystals. They seem to hold a purple tint and, most, were clear. Only one seem to be clouded with what looked like smoke. The smoke moved however, shifting it's form accordingly within the confounds of the crystal. Yggdrasil did not seem to pay any attention to the smoke-filled crystal, nor any of the others that orbited around him. His focus was on the two Knights, each battered and bruised but healing still.
"Welcome back my dear Knights. Did you complete your mission?" Yggdrasil asked, his voice seemingly chipper and proud.
Yggdrasil knew from sight alone that neither of his Knights had managed to take down the Demon Lord. Even more so, Yggdrasil noted that the two had taken significant damage. The shattered, boiled, and even frozen bits of Digichrome were more than easy to spot. It was odd however, their armor showed no further sign of damage, no dust or blackened tips, they were clean as could be.
"You've been gone longer than I thought you would be. Was Barbamon not hiding in the Den of Demons?" Yggdrasil added. It was true that he hadn't expected them to be away as long. He had even sent out a few Digimon to retrieve them from the pit days before but the Knights bodies were no where to be found.
