I think the complicated story people love a good angst, the characters growing and slowly becoming stronger and better with time.
Also the chemistry between noel and cam, made ian and mickey from the beginning that made it hard to see them apart
It’s a huge effort from noel and cam. And obviously the fans who fought so hard for mickey at that time ( even tho i don’t agree with some tactics)
