Tomato Chutney - excellent with idlis , dosais WET PASTE🍅🌶 -2 medium tomatoes chopped -2 tbsp finely chopped onions -20 peeled shallots -10 dried red chillies (goondu milagai) -1 marble size ball of tamarind -1 tsp sea salt or to taste TEMPERING🌶🍅 - 1/4 cup vegetable oil - 1 tsp black mustard - 1 tsp urad dal , hulled , split - 20 curry leaves METHOD 👈🏼📋🌶🍅😍 1. Run all the wet paste ingredients and salt in a blender. 2. In a small pan/wok add oil. When hot add the mustard seeds and once they crackle add urad dal. 3. Add the curry leaves followed by the blended tomato mix. Stir well. 4. Reduce heat to simmer , stirring constantly for about 2 mins. Serve hot , right away.
