Brendan, Juergen, Drew; many thanks for that nice words! The odd thing is that, at first, I was only interested in photographing the reflection of the flower in the window, and I was disappointed by the blue door that covered the its half (which I thought, ruined a good picture .. ..). Nevertheless I took the picture, and once reviewed... I liked it!

Many thanks to Drew (gallerylefey), Angela (angelacollier), Esra (my-memory-palace), Sylvy (sylvyrocks), Kate (katerieke),  Fernando (qbnscholar), Alejandro (amchphotography) and Juan (ravenoussouls), for their very kind comments and support about my photo 'Where it all began'!  Once again, another capture of something that has to do with the sea, which is probably connected with my deepest obsessions. I tried to give a oneiric nature to the image, so I chose to force the control of DoF, but the golden glow of the last rays of sun helped a lot, of course!

So, as always, thank you for your words, and for the appreciation shown in likes and reblogs!

Thank you all!  I was lucky to find a good point of view to take the photo and the sunset light, - and a very strong east wind- helped a lot. Glad you liked it!

Mm. good analysis. I have the Yashica and have had some lovely shots from it.. but all the points you raise are correct. but the lens is great. I bought my son an Olympus 35RC which is fabulous, tiny and just works..think about it? Cheers Drew

I have not had a chance to play with the Olympus 35RC however I forget the reason I did consider it. My friend is currently looking on getting the 35RD so when it comes in, I'll play around with that.  But I'll keep an eye out for a 35RC and maybe buy it and try that out.

Wonderful image! Do you know why some of them cut their hair? Is it something cultural or religious?

I believe some do it as a statement challenging Indian's perceptions about female beauty since they want women to have long hair.

And after doing a little bit of Google searching, I've read that there is a temple in south-eastern India where women offer their hair as a gift to Lord Venkateswara, the presiding deity.

However, that photo was taken in Varanasi which is pretty far north so I believe that the women in the photo shaved their heads as a statement rather than for religious reasons.  But don't take my word for it, I just took the picture as my boat was pulling off to the side.
