thinking back on the gallipoli9 fandom it's so funny. it was like me and three or four other aussie mutuals and nalle's gifsets. that was it, and it was beautiful.

wow sorry for my gallipoli breakdown on the dash again guys. but if you can get your hands on it to watch i highly recommend! 2015 australian miniseries about the gallipoli campaign of ww1 and it WILL ruin your life :)

Ladies and gentlemen, today we join the whole world in commemoration of ANZAC Day - the double anniversary of the start of the 1915 Australian and New Zealand offensive in Gallipoli and the 1918 firing of the first shots of the Franco-Australian 2nd Battle of Villers-Bretonneux.

The memory of these brave men of the Australian and New Zealand Defence Forces who fought in Gallipoli and the battles in Western Europe and the Middle East, whose bond brought their countries together as one during the First World War, will never ever be forgotten.

We also today remember the 42nd anniversary of the 1974 Carnation Revolution in Portugal, the military led revolution that ended years of dictatorship and repression and opened wide the doors of democracy in this part of the world.
