“You gotta move your hips”
A/N: This one is a bit short because I don’t know how else I’d extend it, but here ya go!
Music was blasting loud throughout the studio and you leaned stood at the entrance watching Gabe finish off the lesson. He had been teaching young teens how to dance as a side business for a while now. You thought it was adorable watching them learn. Listening to every instruction Gabe gave them and using that to make their own choreo. It was amazing and the kids looked up to him. “Alright so I want you all to work on what you’ve learned today and for the next class we’ll put the whole thing together,” Gabe told everyone. Everyone nodded at his words. “I’ll see you next time. Have a good day!” he announced, clapping his hands together to get their attention. Everyone began to pack up and some of the kids even went to hug Gabe goodbye.
Once the studio was clear Gabe’s attention turned towards you. “Looks like you had a fun day,” you commented, tossing your bag into a corner and sitting down to stretch.
“Yeah we had a great time. How was your day?” Gabe questioned, switching the songs over so he could start with your lesson. Gabe leaned against the wall and smiled down at you.
“It was good. I got off work early today, so I’ve just been chilling out. What about you?” you questioned, lifting your arm up and over your head so you could stretch that out also. Gabe gestured around at the space to answer your question. He must have been there the whole day. Gabe pushed off the wall and took three long strides until he was in front of you.
“Come on let’s start the routine,” he said, holding out his hand to help you up. You grabbed his hand and he pulled you up. “Have you been working on the moves from last time?” Gabe asked. You looked at him with a ‘what do you think’ type of way knowing good an well that Gabe knew you had been practicing. Gabe was currently still in teacher mode. You began to rock on the balls of your feet and Gabe stood back. “Show me what you have down so far,” he said, arms crossing over his chest and balled up fist resting under his chin. You let out a small huff and Gabe started the music for you. You took the first step and jumped forward into a small pose. Then the music fully began to play and you continued into the first three eight counts Gabe had taught you for the choreography. “Okay good good and move the hips-Y/N MOVE THE HIPS!” Gabe sighed in frustration and paused the music.
“I had it last night,” you sighed, “You saw I had it!” Gabe sat down the remote and his shook his head at your words. “Look I’m trying,” you muttered, repeating the move, but failing once again.
“The hips are the most important part to this dance.” You frowned at his words and Gabe walked up to you. He turned you to face the mirror and rested his hands on your hips. “Look baby you gotta move your hips,” Gabe said in a soft voice this time. His chest was pressed up against your back and Gabe’s fingers pressed into your skin. He gave you a slight push on the hip and you rocked to the side. Gabe slowly moved with you and guided your hips in the way that he wanted.
“Like that?” you questioned, relaxing against his chest as he continued the movements.
“Slow and sensual,” Gabe said, nodding at your question. “Now roll it,” he whispered in your ear. You began to rotate your hips about and could feel Gabe’s crotch press against your backside. “See that’s how you do it,” he said. You moved away from him and cleared your throat.
“Okay let’s get back to work,” you smiled, playfully pushing at his chest. Gabe cleared his throat too then started the music once again. Just like before you jumped into some poses at the first two beats and went into the dance again. Your right hand pushed out as you slid to the side. “You got this,” you muttered to yourself just as the transition came in. You sucked in a deep breath and began to rotate your hips about. So far you were doing well, but was taken off guard a bit when Gabe came up behind you, slid his hands down your body and rest at your hips as he moved along with your dance. Finally the part passed and you continued on through.
“You did that perfectly,” Gabe praised, cutting off the music. You turned around to face him and grinned.
“Were you suppose to join in?” you questioned, still feeling the touch of his hands on your skin. Your teeth sunk into your bottom lip as you eyed him curiously. You could see a hint of a smirk come across Gabe’s lips.
“I wasn’t going to tell you, but yeah. This dance is sort of for two people as you could see,” he commented, “Let’s learn the rest of it.” Gabe began to break down the next half of the dance. Lessons didn’t really get that far because the tension between you and Gabe was too much to ignore. Just like every other dance lesson it ended with you and Gabe making out on the studio floor.
Never apologize for burning too brightly or collapsing into yourself every night. That is how galaxies are made.
