gamble and cypress met outside the clan when gamble was a kittypet and cypress was a loner. they fell for each other before gamble joined the clan. cypress wasn't sure that he wanted to, and it took about two years for gamble to convince cypress to join. gamble was delighted when cypress joined and they settled into a happy life within the clan. frostfire was their second and last litter, as cypress died shortly after frost was born due to an infected broken jaw

Name analysis: Gamblehowl

Despite this, the suffix does not suggest immediate danger, but rather distant, potential danger. It is not a guarantee, but a warning. Due to this, many cats are wary of those with this suffix, feeling that they will inevitably bring bad luck to the Clan.

Full name: Gamblehowl Together, these are the names of a doomed cat. It paints a picture of an individual racing toward their own demise with the potential to bring everyone around down with them. This is a name that would give many pause and cause many more to tread carefully around this cat. Few would be brave enough to look past the implications of the name in order to build any sort of real relationship with this cat. Regardless, this is the name of a cat whose demise will be spectacular and carry fearsome consequences for those around them. This is the name of a cat who will be remembered for many, many years, for better or for worse.

Additional notes: Gamblestar Nobody would expect a cat with the name "Gamblehowl" to become leader. This is partially due to the superstition that "gamble" named cats die young, so they wouldn't have a chance to become deputy, much less leader. The other side of it is that nobody would believe that a leader in their right mind would make a cat with this name deputy in the first place. This is not the name of a deputy and certainly not the name of a leader. A leader with this name, regardless of their true personality and behavior, will struggle to win the trust and respect of their Clan. They will face challenges at every turn and will have to work extremely hard to challenge the stigma that their name carries. They will be held to a much harsher standard than other leaders and are readily blamed for tragedy.
