I already had zero interest in GTA 6, but the way Rockstar is treating the game, posting the base version at 80 dollars, selling the actual version with baseline features at 90 and pretending that it’s a premium version, and just being predatory toward an audience who will totally eat the shit that they’re fed, it just made me even more confident in my stance to not buy it. TBH, the most fun thing to do in GTA was fuck around in public anyway: running around being a general nuisance, accumulating a wanted level, using glitches to fling cars across the map, causing NPC fights and gambling on who would win, etc. I can still do that in 5, and even if the servers go down for 5’s online, I can still do that in story mode. I have no interest.
In GTA 5, I already played into the high 200s, and I was around early enough that I got to partake in the modded money when people were giving away free money, and that was the most fun I had in the game because I didn’t have to do heists with morons to get it. The sad fact is that GTA 6 will be a success and people will eat whatever slop they’re given. It’s a shame. Oh well.
