ꪆৎ good evening everyone and happy new year !!

i’d just like to address a few things in this overall joe burrow community. first of all, all you girlies that i’ve met are some of the most lovely writers & such insightful people—i really cherish the support you feel here and everyone’s transparency, i just pray and hope it remains this steady into the next year.

though my genuine point is to get something across, i believe this place can get challenging and toxic very easily if you do not have control over yourself and your words. not everything needs to become a think piece or placed into the spotlight the way we think it does, i will not mention her name but we all know joe’s problematic situationship very well and this whole situation really shows the cognitive dissonance between who joe is & what some perceive him as.

joe is many things (good, bad, and neutral) but to label him as someone who perpetrates harm is indefinitely a baseless claim from what we’ve seen so far, after all we know little about his personal life and i believe that’s for the best given how the media including this app has handled his ex-fiancée & whatever you wanna address “her” as. i know conflict isn’t avoidable, we all are entitled to our own thoughts, but to what extent does it take for us to all be mature, apologize, and move on accordingly? especially when coming down to these gossip blogs or any of us who’ve interacted with them.

i’m not saying we excuse every questionable/wrongful act, (but i will not call out names out of respect for many individuals involved) but it’s immature and catty to see many actively misread things, spread misinformation, and allowing anons to perpetuate even more mess (i don’t mean gossip, i mean instigating instead of resolving).

at the end of the day, joe burrow is just a man & we are just a bunch of girlies wanting to write fics, occasionally gossip, chat about fun things, and form bonds with each other. i really like this community, i’ve been semi-active since late september though i have maintained a interest in football my entire life, and it’s disappointing to see things that can be hashed out through appropriate conversations instead of taking breaks because mental health gets affected.

to conclude my rant, i just hope we all can have a successful new year that brings peace & prosperity and a very gentle reminder to protect your mind, heart, soul because none of that should be compromised due to people on here & to be conscientious of how you articulate your thoughts even in moments of humor or discussion.
