pictures of my mods and refurbishes are getting notes again so here's a compilation of most of them! I didn't make any of the shells, they're all various sites like retro modding, handheld legend, bluish squirrel, boxy pixel, rose colored gaming and etc. all mods were done by myself! the macro is half of a DS with the speaker relocated and a custom aluminum faceplate
Another Gameboy macro in the works. Salvaged the ribbon cable that connects the top screen. Now it only supplies sound! The less soldering directly to the board the better (for me I guess). Just needs a paint job!
Project #4?? I forget what order I put these in lmao but here it is: Gameboy Macro with a Boxy Pixel aluminum faceplate! I bought two broken DS Lites a while ago for super cheap with the goal of turning at least one of them into a Macro (basically a bottom half DS Lite as a dedicated GBA.) It was a good thing I bought two because I needed parts from both of them just to get one functional system.
At the bottom is a shot of my collection so far: A BennVenn Freckleshack backlit GBC, a Funnyplaying IPS v2 GBA, and my Boxy Pixel Gameboy Macro! I would really like to get a Gameboy Light or to backlight my DMG next.
bought a broken ds lite off ebay for ten bucks and i’m gonna make myself a gameboy macro yeehaw
