Angels.png
The insignia for one of Beth DuClare's American strike teams from Game Three. They use a stamp black and white one on their customized clothing and paperwork seals.
Graphic design is not my passion, I know it's not perfect.
More info below the cut.
There are five of them, and all of them are queer as fuck. They're not working for BDC by choice, either. Actually they're quite mad about it.
They also immediately adopt Jensen as one of their own, despite his best efforts.
Alt text has the species of bird each set of wings are for. And yeah, direct symbolism for each of them, as with the eyes.
Jaye (you'll meet them later; the emotional core of the team) has this tattooed on his chest in full color. (He/They) He's responsible for most of the symbolism, and a very rough sketch; the triangles are the illuminati, a la the pyramid and the eye; one above them, commanding, watching, and one below, inverted: how the team really feels about them, and how their world and lives are upside-down.
I won't explain the birds until I post about each operative, but I will make some quick notes on the eyes, without saying whose is whose.
Top eye: the most human > connected to emotions; four-pointed star shaped pupil and a glint in kind of an anime-excited character vibe--desire to connect, furious wonder for the world around them. The red at the edges is blood; forced optimism, emotional distress, instability, investment.
Left: moderately human > connected to emotions. Gaze averted sideways; not focused directly on what is in front of it. Inverted triangular, analytical pupil; the blue glow around it is an association with technology, inverted for suspicion or hostility.
Center: Red sclera; the most afflicted and captive, the most skin in the game. The inverted cross pupil is in relation to the symbolism of Christianity and Angels as the Illuminati's method of control. Deep hatred and constant suspicion; no black in the pupil--refusal to see things as the Illuminati presents them. Central positioning indicates a special role for the team, critical, useless without it, and yet different than the others.
Bottom: Yellow sclera; isolation and distance from typical human experience. Slit pupil for sharpness and attentiveness, and perceived alienation (others perceive them as distant or refusing to engage). Eye averted downward as a direct reference to how they engage with others.
Right: Colors are literally the colors of this person's eye. Jaye found their physical prosthesis reflective of their personality. Crosshairs for precision, no pupil for difficulty seeing the self, or recognizing own emotions. Averted glare for the relationship this individual has with their anger, and what it does to their focus.
They are me blorbos. Pets them. I don't mind if they don't get much attention, because this sure is a fanblog and they sure are not canon, but man. I am so happy to share them, for the sake of creation and sharing.
Art done in paint tool sai btw! uh (glances at clock) uhhhh.... 4-5 hours.
