Samuels has found order with Kai’s cult. And order is the thing he craves most of all: order and purpose. Here, he’s not the outcast, the crooked cop, the freak who can’t get it up unless he’s inflicting pain.
Here, Kai and the boys appreciate him. Love him. Reaffirm what he already knew: that he was strong, pure, and better than everyone else.
Except that, every now and then, one of the women in the cult really just gets on his nerves. Normally, he can step around them, but Bellatrix, she’s different. She’s a bold, loud presence; she walks into a room and you can feel the center of gravity shift. She’s a power drain and it makes him uneasy, reminds him of that very thing he’d worked so hard to avoid.
So when she announces off-handedly that she’s hungry and Samuels should do something about it, he grits his teeth and nearly hisses. He’ll do bitch work for the boys, but for a girl?
“Suck my cock. I’m not making you a fucking sandwich.”
