GAP X OMC
BE WHAT’S POSSIBLE
During Pride season GAP Inc. partnered with OMC to actively support the LGBTQ community. It is often that corporations would promote their support of the LGBTQ community during pride season however, active support and advocacy stems from directly engaging within the community and that is exactly what they did. GAP and its sister brand OLD NAVY, conducted a clothing drive at their Times Square stores, additionally associates offered words of empowerment to youth experiencing hardships and culminated their activism by volunteering at one of our POP-UP shops.
OMC asked Mr. Franklyn Baez, GAP’s Training and Culture Coordinator, "Why is it important for GAP to maintain social responsibility and participate in events such as the one you guys held for us?"
The company was founded with a simple idea- to make it easier to find a pair of jeans and a commitment to do more. Integrity and doing the right thing are hallmarks of Gap Inc.. At Gap brand, “We do more than sell clothes. We strive to build stronger communities through volunteerism and sustainability efforts.”

“We inspire possibility and individuality for our customers and our employees. Creating possibilities in the communities where we live and work is in our DNA.”
“Our Co-founders Doris and Don Fisher built a business that has many opportunities – not just for employees and partners of Gap Inc., but for the communities where we do business. Their spirit is part of who we are and inspires all us to reach our full potential; we call it be what’s possible.”
“We believe that business and communities need to work together to thrive, we focus our community programs on areas that line up with our business expertise. We think we can make the biggest difference by advancing women, teens, and young adults and supporting volunteers. This is why we participated this event because we are giving possibilities to those young people in our community.”
