Traffic on Avalon at the I-10 light is atrocious now with detour the road department must have increased the length of the red light going south because I sat there so long I was sure it was stuck! There is a steady stream of traffic coming from the beach road across the Garcon Point Bridge and then getting on the I-10 going west to Pensacola. I do feel bad for all the people who have to drive all the way around from Gulf Breeze to Pensacola via Garcon Point Bridge. Thankfully at least the toll is lifted temporarily so they don't have that added cost on top of the extra fuel and time spent.
