The “Control your wife, sir.” comment can’t NOT be foreshadowing. Seriously there was no need for that line. What does this mean? Please enlighten us???!
You know, I’m over here TRYING to manage my expectations, but all y’all are just out here encouraging me to do the exact opposite! It’s fine I love it.
Managed expectations me thinks they wanted a throwaway line of someone being a misogynist to Lucy and it was a random pick. Not remotely managed expectations me can’t help feeling like it’s AWFULLY INTERESTING how often Lucy and Flynn default to pretending to be married (1x11, 2x04) and being mistaken for it (2x07). Managed expectations me is calmly reminding herself that not everything is foreshadowing, especially little things like this. Not remotely managed expectations me, who will go to her grave believing that future Lucy gave Flynn the journal because they’re married, desperately wants it to be foreshadowing.
So…yeah, I have no answers. But apparently we’re getting some journal talk next week so RIP me!
