Good Omens (2019) dir. Douglas Mackinnon // "Sign of the Times" (2017) by Harry Styles
no one:
absolutely no one:
not a single god damned soul:
Crowley:
I haven't drawn for a half year (maybe even longer...) and it shows...
I don't watch the show but I really hope those guys from good omens are confirmed gay in canon so I don't have to read angry dissertations on my dash once the series ends
Okay, so have you watched A Discovery of Witches already or what? Is that where your new Matthew Goode obsession has come from?
Y E P. Since you asked, allow me to explain…. ;)
I’d seen him in other things over the years and knew he was hot, but it was more like an empirical fact: Matthew Goode is handsome and attractive and pretty and that is just how it is, whatever. I tend to think of him in my head as from several years ago, like when I saw him in Brideshead Revisited (2008) recently, or back when he was in a Marple ep (2005):
My favorite @asthewheelwills mentioned ADOW to me and suggested I watch it. I wasn’t sure I would like it, since witchy stuff and violent stuff aren’t generally my thing, but I said I’d give it a shot. And then I saw this:
And this is the story of how I died.
Baby faced and razor cheekboned Matthew Goode had turned into mature adult and razor cheekboned Matthew Goode, playing a Catholic vampire no less, and I am slain. This is bigger than Simm spiral, bigger than…I don’t know what; I haven’t been hit this hard in I can’t remember how long. I could watch eps 1-3 of ADOW on constant repeat and be perfectly happy (I prefer the earlier eps before the tension starts to break….. ;) ;) ). So…this is a thing now. And no one’s more surprised than me. :p :p
I love this interview. It's so moving when he talks about when he was about to go to drama school and his parents bought him Shakespeare's works; his father, proud, said to the woman at the till 'It's for me son, he's an actor'. Lovely.
