It's better than them being led straight off to the abattoir, at least. Just a shame that they can't celebrate their new found right to be a being as long as they're in the UK with more than 3 other people at a time.

If any accident involving them happens, this means that they can be arrested more quickly and have it all pinned on them whether it's their fault or not. Anyone against them can now frame them super easily by using dangerous magic near them and when the Trace picks up on it and someone comes to investigate them saying that they stole their wand to do it. Oh, and of course any of that sort of magic leads to immediate arrest no trial.
