We have so many daughters who all look so similar, Guy absolutely mixes them up all the time especially once they’re older

One gets in trouble and he goes through the whole fucking roster before landing on the right name. Sometimes they don’t even let him finish

“Halley– no, Clara– fuck, Elle–”

“I’M HANNAH, DAD”

Then there was a time he accidentally called one of the girls “Nic” and they never let him hear the end of it. Immediately snitched to me and began with the “dad is gonna need to be in a home soon” jokes

okay but when Hannah gets into middle school she really wants to play baseball after being on a little league as a kid. And Guy is explaining to her that she can’t play baseball because she’s a girl, and girls play softball. And Hannah says “that’s stupid!” and he replies “You’re right, it is. I know you’d kick ass if you got on the baseball team”

This is Guy entertaining the kids in the car when I run into a store to grab something

Do you and Guy and your kids go trick or treating? Do you do family costumes? Or do you and Guy not dress up?

Oh every year until they’re a little too old for it anymore. When they’re young we absolutely have family costumes. Batman hated the year we all dressed up as various members of the batfamily (mainly cause Guy dressed at Batman). Guy has absolutely worn his own GL uniform as a costume one year when taking the kids trick or treating and was annoyed when people said his costume looked cheap. But we usually let the kids pick out whatever they want to wear unless they specifically ask for a family costume

I love the Gardner fankids but there’s something funny about their success as adults like

Hannah becoming a world class superhero following in our footsteps while also taking over her dad’s bar and making it really popular

Vivian getting PHDs in both environmental science and ecology and becoming a world renowned climate change activist and environmentalist who eventually gets a blue lantern ring of hope that has healing abilities and she uses it to help heal the planet

Hal getting a PHD in physics, a doctorate in mechanical engineering, and doctorate in theoretical physics and working at STAR Labs and still having that obsession to reverse engineer a lantern ring (and succeeds)

Then Emma partially following in her dad’s footsteps and getting a doctorate in psychology and becoming a therapist and social worker before settling on being a school counseling
