Dragons Like To have Fun Too
Swirling pink dragons dance in
the white rain. They leave
black smudges that fall
to the ground
It shakes the humans below.
They feel it. They hear it.
But they can’t stop the fun

Emotion’s hands soft like a rabbit’s fur. Thought’s hand coarse like the ground.

from “With Tie-Dye by Shirosky” by Garser Dismuke
Sometimes, ending a poem is hard. The top could be so fire but that last line could kill the momentum
Lush
It bursts into the air with a lush cloud of pink and purple.
It reminded me of the shampoo from my youth.
Let's drive to the sky, admire every shade of pink and every deep stroke of purple.
30 feet off the ground the cloud fades. The sky, it turns black. It turns its back on us as we fall to the ground astonished.

Your Eyes and the Yakuza
You forget how small your eyes are until you’re holding them in your hands
Wishing you never ate at that Japanese restaurant with the Yakuza Boss
Staring you down
You eat and leave but you never forget the smell of his perfume
Cause its smells like fresh birth
Under a spring tree where the leaves fall 5 centimeters per second
You laugh holding your eyes
Now it's time to ride the dragon train home
