I'm hearing consequences, so I'm not sure if any big authority or organization might even be the one being nosy. But for now, please stay safe with your plan.

My father's faith was bred into his bones, his principles were his sinews, and both responded to a mind richly stored with examples from the Bible, and from Nicholson's Repentances. In faith father and son were at one; the difference between them was only in approach; the evangelical flash did not appear in my father's eye; his virtue was more legalistic.

Stating the obvious, may involve actual religion especially Christianity and a father figure, but I'll be interpreting generally. Follow your way. Your virtues doesn't have to be the same. You and someone in close vicinity hold the same belief but different way to go about it, and it's okay to admit that. They might tell you what you trust in or doing is wrong but ignore them, they're likely only saying that because it doesn't align with what they're thinking. I feel a huge lot of this pile are people of >2 contrasting groups that are trying to start being more visible(?), for example queer POCs. Also hearing satanists?? Maybe because the general idea of what people have about it and what you actually believe is different. Lol it's laughable even. But yes, as long as you aren't hurting anyone, live your truth and build your courage.

I'm not saying you are wrong about the bibliomancy being heresy when it is taught as doctrine, but how could that become so common if it was, because it was also something I've heard of a lot when I was younger.

It’s a misrepresentation of using scripture as a form of prayer. If you wanted to use the Bible to enlighten you, it should be more like.

Person: hey God, I need some help figuring stuff out. I’m going to utilize Lectio Divina to hear your words and enlighten me on what you want me to do.

A lot of people need a tutorial on prayer (me included). But it’s just easier to say “open the book and see what God says”

SO I've been trying to be more spiritual and re-enter my witch phase (trying to make it not a phase because these topics do genuinely interest me and I mostly just don't preform witchcraft because I can't get my hands on the right materials for complicated spells and stuff) and I decided to try my hand at bibliomancy (form of divination/fortune telling involving books) The thing I was using to learn it just said that any book would do but one that was special to you or your religion was preferred so I used The Rise of Neptune which is like the best book that I've ever read

So then I went up to my friends and offered them a fortune telling and of course they started asking stupid questions "Will I have a kid named Dorothy (weirdly specific?), will I die (I told her that obviously she wasn't going to ever become immortal so yes and it she rephrased it to will I die soon and at that point I just refused. because why.), etc.

Sometimes the answer was very vague, sometimes literally the first couple of words could work as an answer. But one that stuck out to me was this:

One girl, let's say SH comes up and asks, "Will I pull anyone?" So I start flipping through the book and the words that I land on are along the lines of "It's possible, but I don't think it's likely" and I try not to burst out laughing while she stares at the amazing and beautiful cover of the book like it just told her to fuck off

So anyways sorry SH about your horrible fortune reading-
