Mugshot Monday - “Skinny Blue Mug” by Gary Wolff at Wolffworks with Lemon Ginger Hot Toddy
Check out this SUPER SKINNY coffee mug! My coworker Natalie gave it to me after seeing it at Wolffworks Artisan Gallery in downtown Nevis, MN.
Natalie and her family recently bought some land near Nevis, a tiny town of 400 people east of Park Rapids, MN. The gallery was one of the cool shops she discovered while exploring the area.
Nevis is a close-knit town that Gary Wolff grew up in. He and his wife Marsha were teachers in the area and now own and operate an art gallery where they sell their own art as well as work created by other area artists.
Gary is a potter and painter while Marsha is a mosaic artist.
Their plan was to retire and just start making art and that’s exactly what they did. However, they didn’t know what to do with all the art they created, so they opened an art gallery and started selling it.
I’ve never seen a mug with this skinny shape and I love it. Check out that super cozy thumb rest that’s in the shape of a bison. 😀
This was the perfect vessel for my ginger hot toddy on this lovely bright and sunny February day.
Cheers! And thank you so much for the awesome mug, Natalie!
