Why I like them: UGHHHH i am fascinated by his recklessness and bloodlust and just utter disregard for anyone, as well as valuing those murderous tendencies over being successful in the long run (i.e. why didn’t he just make allies with yami bakura and try to fuck him over at the end like?? much better plan but nah he just wants to burn ‘em). HE IS SO FASCINATING.

Head Canon: one that i haven’t posted before hmmm. well screw it, I’ll use one I’ve posted before but I think everyone forgot about. all the ways yami marik tries to hurt people is based on when he was ‘born’ (which i just say is the tombkeeper initation??). He always does it with either fire or stabbing so fire + stabbing = the hot knife used to make Marik’s scars. Yami Marik wouldn’t think anything is more painful than that because he knows how much it hurt marik, without that pain he wouldn’t even be here. so he’s just gonna fuck everyone else up with that pain too lol

Unpopular opinion: I don’t think Yami Marik has any chance of loving anyone ever ever ever like you have fics where he’s like ‘what is this…why do i want to …hELP someone’ like no, he is a manifestation of pain and hatred and anger and everything bad, and marik wouldn’t be pushing happy feelings like love and stuff away so ??’ no. [stop ruining my mean characters with happy things]

A wish: ugh i wish we had gotten a glimpse of him in DM. Like a look from Marik that signaled he might not be gone. It’s hard to get rid of a part of yourself that consuming and powerful, I don’t think u can do it cold turkey. And there really isn’t anything stopping him from coming back because he’s not a separate spirit like y.bakura or atem, he is literally part of marik.

Yami Bakura: no you have to develop a very precise plan and keep quiet to lull them into a false sense of security and BOOM bring up that evil plan in the end. Put your soul into a bunch of different things and be like an incarnation of the devil haha

Team Rocket: oh well uh we don't know if any of that is possib--

and then all the villain start arguing over how all the plans of the others are dumb because they didn't work so they arent one to give advice and they get increasingly angry and so team rocket realizes this was a bad idea and they slink away to get their submarine with the fancy vacuum because its totally gonna work this time

the yugioh guys just laugh at how tiny the pokemon kids are but the pokemon people are just like 'well our show is mORE SUCCESFUL SOOOO~~~'

and yeah they can chill out together like omg ash and joey will have eating contests and joey is surprised at how much ash can eat for a kid and even more surprised when ash beats him (which totally isnt his fault he was having a bad day you know haha)

and then omg the girls always talk and the girls in pokemon are mad that they don't get many outfit changes so the lovely ladies of yugioh let them come up with new things to wear for later seasons and its really cute anD--
