19th CENTURY FRENCH LANTERN

A superb 19th century lantern in brass , with original beveled and cut glass design panes. Originally a gas lantern, now converted to electric. Rewired and ready to hang.  Fantastic quality and details. Great for a hall / entrance or stairwell.

19th century French Quarter Lantern

Rare and super hard to come by , a late 19th century gas street lantern ( converted to electric)  . Lantern is made of copper and wrought iron.  Similar to the one shown in the last picture, these lanterns were held by a post and had street sign hanging from it . 

We custom made a bracket to hang the lantern from the wall, great for a retail space to light and hang it’s sign like shown in the first picture in our shop.  

A fantastic and original verdigris patina to the copper , original glass is gone and has been replaces with plexiglass but it would be really easy to go back to glass if preferred.   

These are super hard to find so don't’ miss your chance to own a piece of the French Quarter and New Orleans history !
