A big black bird landed next to Jamie while he was washing windows but when he went to try and eat the bird it flew away. When Jamie chased it in circles around the building a few times and he finally caught it the bird turned to smoke and a fimiliar voice could be heard laughing from below -gasmask-security
This always happened, at least when it came to birds.
Jamison couldn’t help it. All it took was one look of a bird and the dreadful thought of “prey” rang in his head. “Prey… prey… prey…” Singing like a wicked mantra from the depths of his brain.
His eyes immediately narrowed, and his pupil and large iris became small. You could see the whites of Jamison’s eyes now, funny, didn’t know he had that…
He chased the bird with a desperate pace. Wings flapping and heaving like a heavy tarp in the wind, tail thrashing, claws out and at the ready, jaws snapping with incredible force.
Jamie was able to get his jaws finally around the bird, but only to find it dissipating into smoke and weaving out from in between his teeth.
Lavron’s laughter made his head snap down to see him, his eyes still wild looking. He bared his serrated teeth and kept his jaws agape, breathing straight out of his throat.
Realization struck him, Lavron was the bird! Jamie shut his mouth and his eyes evened out to normal. He took a deep breath and chuckled. “Oh, what a silly little trick. I could have eaten you! How funny!”
And he really could have.
