Painting | Isla & Lyric

Having donned a pair of loose fitting sweats and an old slouchy sweater that she wouldn't mind getting paint on if it occured that morning before school, Isla didn't bother heading home after the final bell rang and instead headed for the skate park after stopping off for an energy drink to wake her up a bit. Between a late night of texting Spike after his debut as a radio host for the school radio and school that day, she was in need of a little energy boost to get her a little more ready for the task at hand. Lately, Isla had been trying to quote unquote get herself out there more and signing up to volunteer during Founder's Day had seemed like a perfect opportunity to continue doing so.

She knew who Lyric was just a bit from a previous short conversation but looked forward to getting to know him a bit as they worked on touching up or completely restoring various areas of paint around the local skate park. Her artistic forte was more words than paints of any kind but she figured she'd be able to hold her own fine enough to get the job done and was actually looking forward to it a bit. If there was one thing she'd been learning lately, it was that trying new things didn't kill you as cliche as it probably would sound if she said so aloud.

There a bit ahead of time, Isla parked and grabbed her drink and the few things she'd brought along for the upcoming job, stuffing her phone and keys in the pocket of her sweatpants. Entering the skate park, she choose a visible spot to drop her things and wait for Lyric to arrive, tossing her hair up in a quick messy bun just to have it out of the way and to try keep it as paint free as possible for a shorter amount of time needed to do her hair for the parade and lighting later in the night.

Parade Float Groups

Not sure where the Stonegate school spirit's gone this year, but this is the smallest signup for parade floats we've ever had. Hopefully these two groups will create something amazing!

OOC INFORMATION

Contact the people above to join their float team and plot out the details. 

Since we don’t maintain a formal roster anywhere, it's up to you guys to figure out who’s in what club/team, and plot together. 

If you want your character to be on the Dance Team or in the Holy Cross Club, feel free to make them join and participate!

Post at least 1 photo of your group’s float (or a portion of it), 1 photo of your character’s parade outfit (or uniform), and at least 5 other IC posts about completing the float and/or marching in the parade. Tag your posts with #gateparade.

If your character is on another sports team or group, and you want them to participate in the parade without a float, you may do so, just tag your posts with #gateparade.

Day of Service Groups

After school, Students in Action will be collaborating with Roseboro’s Recreation Committee to host the annual Day of Service, putting together groups of students and adults to help clean up the town. Groups will be working together to complete 5 main projects.
