This is a review for the Massdrop x 0.01 Z70 70% keyboard. Upon ordering you have options for case colour, switches and pre assembled or un assembled. I opted for assembled with gateron green switches, black aluminum and top printed key caps. As you can see in the photos, the layout is fairly standard for a 70% keyboard, very similar to a kono Whit fox. This keyboard lays pretty flat on the desk. It does not have any feet or kickstands. It doesn’t have rubber feet to keep it from sliding around and scratching your surfaces. The stabilizers are smooth and do not get stuck offering a smooth return. The keyboard is backlit with a white light. The keycaps that the board came with are not shine through. Okay opinion time. I’m not a huge fan of the keycaps. I find it hard to see the markings on the keys with the backlighting and the dim markings on the keys. I would very much get different keycaps. I absolutely love gateron green switches. I love heavy clicky switches. Another issue I personally have is the smaller backspace bar and it’s proximity to the home and page up keys. I tend to hit those instead or even hit the bracket keys. Again, that’s a personal problem and not an issue with the keyboard itself. Lastly, I’m not a fan of the placement of the cable. I’d prefer it being on the back. Not poking out the side. It feels a little flimsy. Other than that, the board feels very sturdy and of solid build quality. As usual if you have any questions or want any mods done to something, just ask! I will be reviewing more keyboard soon. Thanks for reading. :3 #massdrop #z70 #gaterongreen #gateronswitch #mechanicalkeyboard #0.01
