India Food Network: The New Year is finally here. Everyone is busy chalking out plans of how to stick to their new year resolutions. But lets talk about the amazing food and beverages we have been consuming over the past ten days while enjoying the festivities of the season. Beer is a party season favorite and my top pick from the party season is definitely the beers by Gateway Brewing Co.
Having begun as a home brewing hobby by one of the founders Navin Mittal (in 2006) became a company in 2011. Founders Navin Mittal , Rahel Mehra and Krishna Naik are all passionate about brewing. They Started with the sole objective of using local ingredients to make some delicious classic style beer.
Gateway Beers are made using the best quality malted barley and malted wheat. The process involves adding hops and then boiling it to extract bitterness. The process is designed to give each beer a unique taste. Unlike other commercial beers, Gateway ages their beer for longer.
The Apple Cider is a personal favorite. Made from the Lal Ambri apples from Kashmir , this cider is yellow golden in color. The sweetness and and the tart notes of the beer make it absolutely delicious. Warm and fruity this is the perfect winter drink, making it our Midweek Crush for this week.
