I’m hopefully going to get a cat within the year (!!!) and I’m planning to train them to walk on a harness (if they take well to it). Do you have any tips that I should keep in mind or resources I should look at first? I think it might be good for them as enrichment as they will be a totally indoor cat otherwise.
@gay-bones answering your ask here since it’s similar! With a kitten you’ll do essentially the same thing as training as with an adult cat. Just keep an eye on the harness, as you’ll need to adjust the size as your kitten grows.
I have a list of some harness training resources here! Adventure Cats, Catexplorerer, and KittyCatGO are my go-to places for adventure cat info. They have accessible and comprehensive guides on the topic, and are all R+ oriented. They're definitely worth a read!
