antimo and welles did SUCH a good job with the mcsm soundtrack, it’s so fucking good. they did over a hundred songs in total?? like, not even counting the little several second long musical chimes in the games.

i don’t think i can choose one single favorite, so here’s one of my favorite ambient pieces they did, here’s my favorite character theme, here’s two more character themes because they’re both FANTASTIC, here’s what is probably my favorite area/freewalk theme, and here take two more character themes.

i could go into why i love each and every one of these, but that would be an entire essay and i still have another part of this ask to answer kdjslfds

BOY DO I

season 1? the beginning of episode 4, hands down. the moment when they’re all in the cave trying to recover and form their next plans after it seemed like everything fell apart around them was so powerful. and the way the writers structured the scene so that jesse talked to reuben last, looking out over the destruction left by the three wither storms, with the leitmotif from don’t be toasted reuben playing? i still get chills.

as for season 2... i actually really liked the scene in episode 2 where the admin appears as the snowman for the first time (where he challenges jesse to go retrieve the clock). the camera work and lighting that made the admin appear bigger than he really was is *chef’s kiss*

also like. the entire first half of episode 5. which i can’t get into because NORI WE NEED TO PLAY THROUGH IT AND I DON’T WANT TO SPOIL ANYTHING
