Haha, no, right now, I’m stuck doing clerical work for a state parole and probation office, and my art is like my second job that I’m trying to be ‘with it’ enough to make into my only job. I do end up making legal paperwork that arrests or releases people almost daily, though! It’s a weird feeling to have the power to generate that stuff. I also know a lot of weird shit about the prison system that I never knew before, so I guess I’ve learned some stuff here, if nothing else.
my job is also terminally wacky. everyone there is completely bonkers, we swear loudly and constantly, and we get shit like Frank and his shredded cheese arrest reports, so it’s weirdly a good time. That my unit is responsible for all the sex offenders is less nice, that fucks me up a little, but it’s improved vastly from how bad I thought it would be.
