I’m 100% convinced Zak and McLaren are throwing Dan under the bus to distract from the shit job theyre doing. If this was any other team the media would be ripping them apart by now, but Zak deflects and lays all the problems solely on Dans feet. Its not us its him. He’s never defended, the issues he has are never tweeted about, never discussed in the race report, nothing. If you dont closely follow it they way we do you’d never even know these issues existed. (And I dont doubt we dont even know the half of it). The only people defending him are Jenson and Natalie, two of his friends, who presumably have some knowledge of whats going on BTS. If the rest of the media dug into what was going on in that team Zaks job would be under threat. Hes been at the helm since the end of 2016, and while progress has been made since then, it also is going backwards. He’s straight up admitted they cant build a drivable car. Their only race win is from the driver they’re constantly attacking and it doesnt look like another is coming anytime soon. If Dan were to go nuclear and reveal all, they’d be fucked.
