I also, basically, change a detail every time I'm done drawing something 😭 so while things relatively stay the same, there are inconsistencies </3 I will try to explain hopefully without confusing anyone !
this is zhimera !! he is a demigod, and sort of like an EX-chosen hero. he is put into this weird imprisonment mirror and jumps 300 years forward. he will also be seen with a different name ☝️ "nexus" or "end of nexus" is the titan (or like, god) he is sometimes named for.
I don't have this very clear, I mainly just needed cool patterning, but the empire that zhimera served under worshipped the "wisdom" titan so there are a lot of eyes, suns, and wings. zhimera actually uses the blades now w the wings instead of the sword
this is fig !!! when he was alive, he was raised in some doomsday cult that worshipped the titan, "nexus" (NOT ZHIMERA. BUT YOU KNOW. THAT HAS ITS IMPLICATIONS). when he is "married" he's just sacrificed and killed. he turns into a spirit! spirits don't have human forms (usually) and remember different things/act differently to their mortal lives. so this "dead" fig is someone new entirely, and he is a shapeshifter spirit who makes himself look like his mother :)
flu is this little demon who is attached to fig (think eddie and venom yknow) where fig asked a demon for a friend and flu stuck with him. flu is literally named for the common cold, lol, he is a very weird and sad looking demon

since you asked SPECIFICALLY for "the bloody ones" I am just gonna try to cover zhimera and fig, without much of the others lol?? there's going to be a lot missing but this is like a GROUP of characters who are traversing across the country to defeat the demon king. very atla coded tee hee
Fig is a shapeshifter also in how he behaves and what he does, he's VERY LIKED people really like him, he know how to talk to people and get them to like him, he likes to "dissect" them this way. but he is my weirdo ☝️ my freak ☝️ he was shut off from the world for so long he has this reputation of being NAIVE but he's not veryyy, innocent about it lmao. like someone who knows dark topics but doesn't know the taboo around talking about it. he doesn't know staring is rude or following people or watching them or playing w dead things is a "bad" thing. fig is like something that isn't human that you try to teach human values to, he will mimic them but he doesn't necessarily care.
Zhimera regularly views himself as a bad person, lmao. he only remembers being brought up that way, he is seen JUST LIKE the titan nexus (which everyone views as the Bad God, it's known for "power" or "consumption"). He sees himself as cursed and ruined and even if he does TRY to be gentle or kind it never works out for him. He's very pissed off and gets mad quickly at others. And people are out for him because they think he's going to do more bad things (so that means, torturing him <3 tee hee)
now the thing w fig is that his persona is only broken by two specific people. pigsy, who hates lying or someone without an opinion, sees fig as spineless, or someone who wouldn't stand for anything he actually would want. fig and pigsy fight near constantly. the second person was zhimera ☝️ who said to him that fig is just as fucked up as zhimera, that they're the same type of creatures. and fig got really attached to that he liked someone who saw him !! who related to him and didn't expect him to act as a good person. this makes fig openly weird @ zhimera lmao
I actually rarely depict them fighting, lmao. they're both very violent/bloody but they're usually doing it on purpose or are Just Like That For Some Reason. Fig is the only one who knows Zhimera's trans (zhimera has a whole thing where if this was found out it'd be very traumatizing for him) and so Fig is the only one permitted to help Zhimera's injuries. Zhimera is very, veryyy ill and infected after 300 years, and goes through very UNSURVIVABLE EXPERIENCES AND SURVIVES THEM. I have tortured this man (you may possibly be familiar w that reedy... ssreeder...... torture.... fic author..... <3)
The artwork ☝️ is past a time skip, where zhimera was presumed dead after a battle and continued to feed that lie by hiding from the rest of the gang. he was off being new demon king, for uhhhh what I call "the 6 year gap" IT'S A LOT OF TIME. I SWEAR IT HAS ITS REASONS. the gang accidentally find him serving out demon king stuff and it's a whole argument whether he's betrayed them or not. fig is THE MOST upset over this, they have their very bloody fight, which my friends and I have teased is their long awaited sex scene lmao. I mean look at fig's face again when zhimera "penetrates" him w the sword
