“ we all have sins to pay penance for. ”
The words draw a strange look from her, and she eyes the other before wrinkling her nose and looking away.
“And by how do you classify sins. In answering to the Christian god for actions you’ve taken against his creed?” she asks, after a long moment of nothing but heartbeats. “I do not answer to him. Is it going against any god’s creed? If that’s the case- then, well, perhaps I have someone to answer to.” It all depended, really; on if her own power was less or greater than his, when the time came.
A shrug. “Is it in the manner of the ‘seven deadly sins’ that are so lauded and yet somehow so true in all that exists, all that exists, all that exists? That which wraps around sentience like barbed wire- inescapable, but perhaps it will not cut you if you stand still enough?” Another pause, a thought.
“My greatest sin in that sense would be pride.” A confession, there, maybe, but the tone is almost questioning, like she herself is wondering at it.
“What is a sin? Is it different for everyone, are we all bound by the same rules?” A laugh, then. “I don’t think so. I think the rules are ever-shifting. Even still...”
Muninn’s gaze returns to him, thoughtful.
“What sins do you have to answer for? Tell you mine if you tell me yours, tell me yours, tell me yours.”
