KNOCK, KNOCK, KNOCK. hand retracts from the door, loosely falling beside petite frame. an impeccable detective knows how to connect dots, all information important and needed to put the pieces together and finalize the puzzle. an impediment in her path as she stumbled into weathervane, her assistant missing. that was disappointing to say the least. it didn’t take much for her to use thing’s knowledge and find a solution to her problems – as unethical as it may be. gathering information about possible suspects, be it friend or foe, was necessary. seeing the bigger picture always led to a sooner discovery, the secrets lying underneath one’s nose the entire time.
“tyler?” voice resonates and flies by with the wind, face only inches away from his door. thoughts rush in, taking her aback for a fleeting moment. what if he became a victim to the monster? what if he was in trouble? those what ifs sparking interest within. it’d be yet another mystery the black and white sleuth would have to uncover. head turns to a side, noticing a dog. he told her that already, as far as she recalls. had the door not been answered, she’d had to interrogate the only witness at the scene, a canine. if the dead held answers, then so did animals. gaze snaps towards the door, she thought she heard a sound.
