I just spent the last couple hours just going off about video games to my roommate, who like the amazing person she is, genuinely seemed interested.
I just get so passionate about every aspect of game design I have to pause and reflect on how nerdy I am/how happy that makes me.
I just need someone who can get as excited about it with me.
Friday night DnD recap
Step into trap-ridden room, hear some movement coming from a room to the left, it's a Minotaur. Move towards it, take out a grapefruit I've been holding onto since the beginning of the campaign, and throw it at the Minotaur. The grapefruit splats upon impact, no effect. The Minotaur charges me, I take 17 points of damage. So happy I finally used that grapefruit.

2D projects!
Had a great first meeting with my 2D project group. Established an interesting vision and art style. Picking Unity as our game engine (happy not to use html5 or flash) and everyone in the group is ready to put in the work. Group Roles: Programming/Narrative design - Nicholas Art/programming support - Matt Project Manager/audio/art support - Myself
Term 1 recap!
Finished term 1 last week and here's an overview of how it went (point form) -Board games are fucking difficult to make, write down rules early and play test early. -Spent lots of time at school, classes and free time. Many 13 hour days which I was surprisingly ok with. -Being there and putting in effort impresses peers and instructors more than grades. -I didn't leave anything last minute and that paid off huge. -Instructors expectations can vary, knowing the correct amount of effort will help in term 2.
Over this past 3-day weekend, let's say 7 AM Saturday to 7AM today, I spent 24 hours at school. That's a third of the entire weekend, spent at school. This is my life, I need to make sure I don't burn out.

I play tested my board game with my amazing roommates and they had fun!!
I'm getting fucking excited about the board game I'm making for my Game Theory final project. It's going to be a western theme where bandits fight throughout a town.
