ROP Galadriel's characterisation is kinda funny when you remember that Fëanor is canonically the one with the whole obsessed with vengeance, murder is the best solution sort of personality

Some people: Why is there a black elf in this show? Elves can't be black!
Me: Why is there a black elf in this show? No seriously why does it seem like there's just the one, shouldn't there be more?
Thinking about Boba inheriting his grandpa's derelict farm on Concord Dawn. Thinking about him finding a bunch of actual books packed away into a box in the cellar and just...vibrating with glee
Good news is I'm still alive. In less good news I caught COVID on the first damn week of my new job 🙃
So I'm thinking about parents and children and you know how people say things like "You have your father's eyes" "You have your mother's hair" - that sort of thing?
I imagine for Mandalorians genetic similarities and lineage probably isn't remarked on a lot. In their case physical similarities in armour are probably remarked on a lot (especially since armour gets passed down through the family line).
But this means that when a Mandalorian loses their armour, they essentially lose their anchor and link to their family and ancestors. You have the memories with you but that physical link - that concrete thing that you can look at and know that you're a continuation, that you are the present representation of all the hopes and dreams of those who came before - it gets more difficult to hold on to that.
Rating ROP Elves on elf vibes
Arondir - 5/10. Passable but would be significantly improved with nicer hair
Celebrimbor - 0/10. Looks nearly as old as my grandma and dresses like her too
Elrond - 5/10. Initially had him lower but since he is half-elven I will be lenient. I look at his hair and think of curry puff
Finrod - 0/10. Nóm the Wise more like Brent the Jock
Galadriel - 1/10. Looks like an elf, but not the Tolkien kind more like the little people who live in mushroom rings kind
Gil-Galad - 0/10. Am I looking at the High King of the Noldor or an eccentric Roman Emperor in fancy dress? Hail Caesar!
That Librarian Guy - 6/10. Actually he looks like a Vulcan but at least he doesn't look human so he gets an extra point
AU where everything is the same but the reason why Boba went by Jaster when living on Concord Dawn is because it's his middle name.
Looking through Compilations of Old Norse nicknames is quite an experience
Like you got those very grand and sometimes lyrical names like Firebrand, Eagle Kettle, Snowdrift, Autumn Darkness, Sun of the Islands, Battle Tooth and Snow Thunder
And then you keep reading and see names like Butter Penis (one among a large number of creative but decidedly not safe for work nicknames), Horse Castrator, Whining Turd, Throw Ass, Bed Sow and Ruler of Shit
