Is there anyone here you feel sad for? Why?
God, I feel sad whenever someone’s glum for even a second, but for the most part:
Piper - We’ve been through the same hell and can’t move forward in the ways that we’d like to, so she’s at the top of my list.
Gunner - I know that too many things have happened to him that made him the person that he is, but I also know that he’s a nice guy somewhere beneath the hard exterior and the angst.
Malachi - We’re both different from when we were kids, that’s a given, but something’s changed in him and I don’t know what, and I also don’t know what caused it.
Beatrice - I’ve realized that she’s been through a lot in terms of her family and I hate seeing a kind, considerate person get hurt because of something like that, even if I know nothing about it and shouldn’t be saying anything about it.
Layla - I don’t really feel sad for her, I just want her to have a better life. She means well from my experiences with her and deserves more than what she’s been given so far, that’s all.
Kieran - I can relate to him, but I feel as though he doesn’t have enough of a grasp on his fear to keep it at bay from the way he’s described it. If I’m anything to go by, one day he will.
