Brim actually died first. See, he was jumping between shattered glass universes looking for raj, but one of his jumps landed him in the wrong place in the wrong time. Spark chamber was shot right out of his chest plates. His frame is still on the battle field I think, or already melted down from spare parts by now.
Darkfire and Copperstorm died next. They went out lookin' for you glitch. Exploring the multiverse-- they completely dropped their titles as primes for you. When brim died, Copperstorm swerved from his place in the road and hit an Darkfire, then an oncoming truck in the opposite lane and crushed his chest plates. Darkfire's spark gave out just after. I think red's death was the worst out of all of their deaths. She died alone, spark broken, and locked away in her own home.
The triplet brothers remained frozen in horror. All were quiet, and Gearbox’s digits were left hovering over the screen. Ace’s expression grew only more pained; Glitch had a look of disbelief; and Gearbox was eerily emotionless throughout all of this.
Ace could just tell what kind of thoughts were going through Glitch’s mind–– they were spark siblings. Even if they couldn’t detect exact words, he could feel his brother’s turmoil.
It’s my fault. Darkfire and Copperstorm are dead because of me.
The red mech wanted to somehow smack his brother out of his spiral of self-depreciating hatred, but he was stuck in a spiral of mourning himself.
RedRaven died all alone. Why didn’t I go look for her? Why didn’t I try and help?
Glitch suddenly slammed his fist against the ship’s walls and wailed loudly. His own fist was more damaged than the wall was, but that didn’t stop him from pummeling the wall as his screams turned onto broken sobs of, “Why, why, why, why, WHY?!”
Behind them, Gearbox dropped down and pressed his knees against his chassis. The mech was always silent, but even from here, the two could hear the soft sniffles and mumbling from the other.
“...if this is your sick idea of a joke...” Ace warned, voice suddenly dark and dangerous, but the crack belied his own heart-break.
