Candi Gebang, Condongcatur, Yogyakarta. #gebangtemple #temple #yogyakarta #historicalsite #hindutemple #travel #journey Below is the excerpt from a poster about the information of the temple : A square shaped temple, measuring 5.25 x 5.25 m and about 7.75m tall. There's no relief on the base of this temple, nor the stairs used to enter the chamber of the temple. Perhaps, the stairs was made from wood or other materials that are easily damaged. The center point of the temple is also the center point of its yard. Gebang temple is facing towards the east. There is a Yoni inside the temple, on both sides of the entrance there are niches, one with a statue of Nandishvara and one with a statue of Mahakala. Unfortunately, the statue of Mahakala was missing. Niches on the north and south side are also empty. On the west side, there is a niche with a statue of Ganesha sitting on a Yoni with a spout facing north. On the top of the temple, there is a Lingga which is placed above a Lotus pads. The upper part of the Lingga is a typical of a cylinder. On the inner part of the roof there is a small cavity. Meanwhile, on the outer part there is relief in the form of a human head like being in a window. (at Special Region of Yogyakarta)
