I’ve been working on our halloween skit at work and because I work in an immigration office it’s “highly encouraged” that our halloween themes have something to do with immigration too so I’m currently writing a Very Cheesy star wars immigration plot and someone made the joke that the stormtroopers should be uscis but unfortunately for us all you can’t say an abbreviation for imperial customs and immigration service without it sounding like isis.
#I mentioned this to a coworker and she was like 'oh like on archer' and I was like 'NO like the group currently terrorizing the middle east?#it was v. bizarre#I went with galactic empire customs and immigration but it doesn't have the same ring you know#GECIS#so far my cracktastic skit takes place between episodes 4 and 5 while the rebels are scouting the base on hoth#but the empire is onto them and so has stopped interplanetary immigration#and so han tries to take the falcon around the imperial blockade but somehow flies into a black hole disrupting the galactic timeline#which is why all the different movie characters are in the same skit#workfriend: 'no one will care about the convergence of characters you don't have to explain it'#BUT I DO
