i know soaps have more demanding schedules but i saw once that he's on general hospital, i think, which is still abc and therefore he's still employed by disney, the network's parent company. and i know that bowie's actor (man i need to learn cast names besides the main four!) had a recurring role on abc's splitting up together, so i guess i assumed that returns to the show weren't totally out of the question since he (bowie) was doing both. but yeah, schedules are different for sitcoms and soaps, so it does make sense for him to leave. hopefully it could just be a temporary leave (and he gets killed off the soap, lol).
