Hello~ Rubellites here! Let’s just say I got a little sick of other gems on homeworld treating my buddy here, Rubellite Diav, terribly! It’s not his fault he came out a lil taller than an ideal Rubellite like myself. Anyways, homeworld, I doubt you’ll miss us but we gotta go!

Names: Rubellites Cuts 1XG (Doppio) and 2XF (Diavolo). Doppio and Diavolo used to be a retrieval/hunting team working under Pink Diamond! Doppio’s weapon is a gun that shoots nets, while Diavolo’s is a cat o’ nine tails whip. Doppio is an ideal version of his gem, while Diavolo formed incorrectly. Diavolo works under Doppio yet Doppio greatly respects Diavolo. Diav, in addition to physical differences, also does not hold loyalty to the Diamonds. He hates working for those who see him as lesser and convinced Doppio to rebel. They now travel the galaxy looking for things to entertain their journey (and also try not to get caught by homeworld gems). Who knows what life has in store for these rebels, but you better watch out because they make a great team (in more than one way). @bdjjbagemsevent​ ((more refs under the cut! tbh i realize i never really wrote watermelon tourmaline’s backstory so:

basically Lucy's a pink pearl under white diamond who helped steven (chrysoberyl) who's always been common and unnoticed, rise up in ranks but now that steven is such a high ranked he cant talk to lucy cause she's just a pearl but he notices that she's getting unwanted attention from the other noble gems (cough white diamond cough) so he's like lets go to earth and they escape 

so in the end chrysoberyl sacrifices the lifestyle he dreamed of his entire life for a small pearl that helped him reach it in the first place. 

either way watermelon tourmaline is extremely stable and extremely ready to fight homeworld. i guess they’ve been branded as traitors.
