Ok, so.
I’ve been meaning to do this ‘Me “Trying” To Explain:’ thingy for a long time now.
Problem was/is, I’m a big procrastinator and I forgot about it.
But I wanted to at least try to explain one of my versions of Star.
So here’s my attempt at TRYING to explain my gem version of Star.
Keyword: TRYING.
So...let’s get this show on the road!
Before Leaving:
Sunset Aura Quartz was part of Yellow Diamond’s court.
Due to some over time in the ground, Sunset didn’t exactly pop out looking like a normal Quartz soldier.
Despite her appearance, she could still somewhat fight like a Quartz soldier. She just needed to be trained certain things before she could be considered “ready”.
Like all the other Homworld gems and/or Quartzes, Sunset did the same things. Over and over and over again. With only a few changes.
But when she was done with one of her trainings outside of Homeworld, she saw a butterfly. Nothing crazy, just...a little, beautiful butterfly fly past by.
She didn’t exactly think much of it, but after some time, it did get her wondering for a while.
If her blaster could shoot out things that SHE thinks of, could she make things that look like that butterfly?
So whenever Sunset went somewhere to hide from the other gems, she would practice shooting out things from her blaster that didn’t destroy. Just things that were pretty and sometimes even funny.
After getting found by a gem during Sunset’s practicing, she went back to doing the same things over and over again.
However, Sunset started to realize that she seemed to like running off and practicing her blaster rather then doing what she was told to do again and again.
Sunset realized she was starting to get...bored. Bored of training, bored of taking orders, bored of the strict gems, bored of...Homeworld.
So when the time seemed right, Sunset turned and ran off. She took an escape pod and left Homeworld. For good.
After Leaving:
When Sunset finally left Homeworld, she was excited. Excited for what’s to come. Excited to finally have some fun.
She went on some lil’ adventures. Seeing new worlds, meeting new people, learning new things. She loved every second of it.
Sure, she got into some trouble a few...several times, but what’s an adventure if you don’t make some mistakes?
After some time, she decided to change her name to something else. Something that wouldn’t ring a bell if she were to encounter another Homeworld gem again. So she went with...Star.
Star used to be with another gem who also left Homeworld, but they broke up.
After more time passed, Star decided to change her appearance. She gave herself longer hair and got rid of the diamond symbol. She even changed her blaster’s design.
After doing something that may or may not have caused some creatures to get really mad at her and chase after her, she ran into a human by the name of Marco Diaz.
Star ended up staying with Marco at his house. It took some time, but eventually he decided to take Star on a sorta tour around Echo Creek. He even took her to Echo Creek Academy so that Star might learn some stuff.
Star met a lot of amazing people in Echo Creek. Janna Ordonia, Jackie Lynn Thomas, Oskar Greason, and other humans.
Star also learned about eating, sleeping, witchcraft, and other human stuff thanks to Marco and Janna.
Star’s gem has only ever cracked once, and that was probably the worst school day for anyone there at that moment. Marco eventually found something that fixed her gem and it was able to get her back to being normal ol’ Star.
So far, Star has been having loads of fun on Earth. Especially with the adventures she and Marco go on from time to time. She loves living in Echo Creek and she decided that Earth would be her permanent home. As long as her gem is still intact, she’ll make sure to never, ever let anyone take her or her home away. No matter what.
Soooo...that was an attempt.
I’m not sure if this story is good or not.
I’m also not sure if I explained this perfectly or if I made it sound confusing.
But I would kinda be ok to hear what you guys have to say about it.
I’d also like to know if I should do this again.
So...that’s that.
