tell me the story of how you picked your favorite astronaut:)
mines a pretty simple story, actually. i was reading a LIFE book on the mercury - apollo programs and came across gemini iv. i read up on the eva and eventually reached the end. “the flight director says get back in”. ed whined about getting back in. said it was “the saddest moment of [his] life”. for some reason i thought that was the funniest thing. i decided to do some more research on him because he seemed like such a chill, down to earth (haha) guy. i was so right. he quickly became my favorite astronaut once i found out how kind and devoted he was. i hope someday i can be just like him.
