C O N T from @gemofindiex || Locklyn (X)
Locklyn might have been less experienced when it came to the hunt than Ben, however she had the drive and the determination which he recalled feeling as a younger man. He saw some of himself in her, and it was both a good and sad thing. A young woman in her twenties should be out living her life, enjoying what the world had to offer, but here she was, expertly sharpening the wooden stake in her hands. The level of eagerness she displayed could be either beneficial or detrimental to a job, however he had a gut feeling that she would get the job done, and that was enough for him to not show concern.
“From what I can tell, they all stopped here on the way out of town, but never made it much further. These back-roads don’t have any CCTV, but once you hit the major highway a few miles up, they’ve got cameras, and none of their cars seemed to show up. Unless they decided to visit a strawberry farm...” Ben pointed to just about the only side road on the map. “Then they disappeared somewhere between the cafe and the highway.”
