Hey chat, popping in to say that Green Eyed Mask turned 3 on the 15th.

I can't believe I missed the anniversary. I've been so busy preparing for @the-quest-tmnt-comp. So happy belated birthday, GEM! I'm gonna print you out and make a little book for myself since I've always wanted to do that.

Been re-reading Green Eyed Mask lately and realized smth crucially important...

There's an alternate timeline out there where I made GEM Casey Jr’s biological dad be John Bishop.

And every day I somewhat regret deleting that plot from the story-

How fucked up would it be if your bio dad was a fucking dictator experimenting on people with ghost powers including your bio mom and yourself and he spends the rest of his days hunting you down-

Can I talk about GEM Casey’s teddy bear, Cup?

Kid lost his mom at age 6, devastated and in shambles. Like a few weeks later, Leo set out on a supply run finds an old teddy bear. He cleans it up, repairs it and stitches it up. Then gifts it to Casey, telling him it had "magical powers" and that Casey would have to wait and see.

Casey felt better when he hugged the bear and assumed it had "magical healing powers". He named it Cup and then gave it a tour of the Resistance.

When Casey leaves his room, he props up the bear to "stand guard" while he's gone.

Todd gave the bear a chain belt.

Casey discovered that Cup is a great listener who "kept all his secrets". Talked with the bear often.

When Casey ran away from home, he found an old Teddy Bear Town store and gave Cup a leather jacket and sunglasses.

Then he ate the teddy bear. (Rations ran out and like half of the population starved to death, Casey almost died too.)

The little stuffed heart thing survived so Casey kept that. He even kept it in his yellow bag that went with him when he went back in time.

Raph took Casey to Teddy Bear Town to get Cup a new body to put the heart in. (And Cup has the CUTEST fucking outfit.)

And that bear stayed with him ever since.

CUP. IS AN INAMIMATE. OBJECT.

Okay, I'll admit...I am a bit salty about the Casey Jr prosthetic headcanon

BECAUSE I WROTE ABOUT THIS A YEAR AGO

And as far as I'm aware, I'm fairly certain I was the first person to think that way and applied it to my GEM fanfic.

But NOOOOOOOOOOO why should I receive any credit? It's not like I've been TRYING. SO HARD. FOR OVER A FUCKING YEAR-
