How NASA Broke The Gender Barrier In STEM

For the first time, half of the astronaut class is women, and now NASA is offering new opportunities for female tech entrepreneurs.

Dear GirlAdvocates,

For those of you in STEM, have you ever noticed the overwhelming lack of women in STEM leadership?  Or as young girls, have you guys noticed the stereotype that males were better at math and science?  Society has created barriers that have kept women from pursuing STEM careers or advancing into leadership roles within their careers, until now.

NASA has given women the opportunity to excel in leadership positions and a platform with which to advocate having more women included in the sciences.
