Ok so I was scrolling through Farris's Tumblr and I saw that a long time back they had said something about genderfluid Fitz. And then an anon had asked them if they had any headcannons about gender fluid Fitz, and Farris has said they didn't know enough about it to actually make headcannons bc they didn't want to say anything that was wrong. I figured since you fall under the genderfluid spectrum, you might know more?

Genderfluid things:
at any given time our gender is “what the fuck is this?” because sometimes we don’t notice when our gender changes, or when it does we don’t know what it changed to
we can’t change our gender, but we can ‘adopt’ a gender if its convenient (I’m a girl when “All The Single Ladies” plays, or if girls get to eat first, etc.)
we joke about being gay no matter what sexuality we have (if its a hot guy, WOW I’m SO gay, and if its a cute girl?? I’M GAY FOR HER)
sometimes our gender doesn’t change for a long time, others it changes so many times we stop trying to figure out which one we are right then
(This one might be just me, so its in parentheses. Sometimes my gender is actually influenced by who I’m around. Some people make me feel masc, or female, some make me feel pretty nonbinary)
Our gender doesn’t always line up with our gender presentation!! I like wearing kinda fem outfits even when I feel like a guy, but if I feel like a masc enby I feel more comfortable wearing androgynous or masculine clothing. Makeup also changes :)
some things make me dysphoric no matter what gender I am, and some make me dysphoric sometimes, and others never do (Long hair always makes me feel bad, earrings are a hit and miss, as is makeup, but high heels never make me feel bad)
sometimes even things that are equated with our agab can make us feel gender euphoric, for me its nail polish!!

Genderfluid Fitz hcs that I decided to make bc GENDERFLUID FITZ IS A YES
~ at first he thinks he’s either nonbinary or trans ftm, with fluctuating dysphoria, but then he realizes that he most definitely is sometimes a boy
~ that kinda makes it harder for him to realize he’s genderfluid, bc surely if he’s a boy sometimes, than he must be a boy all of the time.
~ Biana helps him figure it out, because she comes out as girlflux “What’s that Bi?” “Sometimes I’m a girl, sometimes agender, sometimes demigirl, it changes”
~that opens up a whole new world for Fitz, and he starts researching more and experimenting with presentation
~ He always likes eyeliner, but mascara can make him dysphoric even if he’s a girl, and he’s not a big fan of a lot of dresses, but he adores skirts.
~ Then he starts seeing what pronouns he likes. He tried out they/them, but decided that wasn’t the best for him, but otherwise he shifts between he/him, she/her, and sometimes a few neopronouns (he doesn’t know for sure if he always likes it/its, but he does like xe/xem/xyr)
~ Keefe was the first one he told about being genderfluid (Biana already knew), and Keefe smiled and hugged him really big. And then immediately asked what pet names/nicknames Fitz was comfortable with
~ The whole gang accepts him, and all share their own stories of self-exploration and identity (Tam thinks he might be agender, Linh is trans mtf, and Dex is arospec and queer, plus the others being various flavours of gender and sexuality)
