(request by @ivyace , genderfluid Jesse thing, I guess this would take place between episode 4 and 5, assuming Lukas was actually there and Aiden was still being a prick) Jesse today had their shoulder length hair unbrushed and unruly, wearing their white shirt and red suspenders. They had been feeling rather masculine that week. They wiped the sweat from their brow, exhaling and looking up at the house they were helping rebuild. It was made of cobblestone with iron reinforcements and a log frame, making it obviously difficult to work with. "Could you take this over to him?" A worker held a stack of logs, just placing them into Lukas' arms, who winced at the sudden weight. "I will..." Lukas replied, struggling to carry all the thick logs over to where Jesse was working. Jesse glanced over from their work, seeing Lukas kneeling to put the logs down, who was whispering "ow ow ow" repeatedly. "Are those that heavy...?" Jesse paused to lean against the wall. "Yeah, wow..." Lukas winced, brushing little bark fragments off the sleeve of his jacket. "It's really coming together, though." Jesse beamed, glancing up at the structure. "Hard work's finally paying off..." "Indeed it has..." Lukas agreed, feeling rather proud of himself. Jesse's eyes were drawn to the pile of logs as a whole lot more were dumped on. Their eyes went up to see Aiden there, just wiping his forehead on his sleeve. "Lukas... what's up?" Aiden punched Lukas in the shoulder, with a big grin on his face. "Haven't seen you in a while." Jesse seemed to shrink down while Lukas just blinked. "Um, rebuilding, mostly." He replied. "And we've got that girl Jesse over here, too." Aiden glanced over, a devious smile spreading onto his face. Jesse quickly looked down at themself. Jeans, suspenders, scruffy hair... Nothing femme about them today. "I'm a guy at the moment, Aiden." Jesse mumbled defensively. "You look like a girl to me." Aiden replied, his face twisting into a smile. "You know..." He gestured to his chest. "Hey, hey." Lukas shoved Aiden a little as Jesse crept closer to him, hunched over slightly with their hands in fists. "What?" Aiden just laughed, clearly not intimidated in the slightest. Lukas was an old friend and Jesse was just some annoying dork who didn't stand up for themself. "Is it that hard to just leave Jesse and their-- my, gang alone?!" Lukas complained. "I--I literally took down the Witherstorm." Jesse raised a finger. Aiden glanced back at them with a glare. "You know I should have done that..." Aiden had a stupid confident look on his face. "Jesse's the hero, not you, just... get lost." Lukas exhaled frustratedly and shoved Aiden a few metres away, watching him stumble back. "Tch..." Aiden got up, trying to look undeterred. "See you guys later..." And he just went to stalk off somewhere. Jesse stomped their foot in frustration. Aiden had always done this. On the days they were a girl, they'd get called a boy. On the days they were a boy, they'd get called a girl. "You feeling okay...?" Lukas went over to Jesse who was leaning against the wall. He was equally frustrated and constant glancing over at Aiden just leaving. "Yeah, I'm fine, but can we go kick his butt later?" Jesse asked. "That sounds wonderful."
