FIGURE ONE     :     soul  on  the  floor,     gathering  dust.       an  idle  thing  worn  down,     light  fading,     starving     for  something  beyond  these  walls.     without  proper  nurturing  it  would  soon     DECAY    right  in  plain  sight!     (     could  it     /     would  it  smell?     )     FIGURE  TWO     :     suffocating  daughter  with  protest  between  her  teeth.     fantasizing  life  beyond  her  window  urged  by     AGONIZING     need  for  independence.     for     FREEDOM.  

PLEADING  GHOST,     BARELY  THERE,     HANGING  BY  A  THREAD     with  voice     yanked     back.    feels  the  ache  of  disappointment  sweeping  through  poisoned  veins.     (     TAKE  YOUR  MEDICINE!     )     she  steps  away  from  the  door  in  what  was  too  easy  of  a  defeat.      MAYBE TOMORROW  WOULD  BE  DIFFERENT.     so  tonight,     again,     she’ll  linger     lonely.        ❛❛     OKAY,     DAD.      ❜❜                    @genedeliver.
